MINUTES FROM GENERAL ASSEMBLY

Ingmar Skoog and Philip Scheltens entered the podium

  1. The assembly was asked if they could approve an addendum of the by-laws in which Monique Breteler could be chairman of the Society for the next two years, despite not being member of the Executive Committee, and if she as such could become voting member. The General Assembly approved this with acclamation
  2. Monique Breteler thanked Vladimir Hachinski for his 6 years as chairman of Vas-Cog, and asked the Assembly if they could agree to make him Founding President for the rest of his life. The General Assembly approved this with acclamation
  3. The new chairman also thanked Chris Chen for his fantastic work as host of Vas-Cog 2009, And Raj Kalaria for his exceptionally hard work as chairman of the Scientific Committee.
  4. The Secretary General then asked the Assembly for retrospective approval of some violations of the by-laws.

    a) For this election of the new executive committee, the Executive Committee suggested nominating committee (Srikanth, Philip Wolf, Ken Rockwood, Geerlings). The fifth, Alida Gouwe, was selected by the Student section. Some of these members had been elected previously by the general assembly.

    b) No one is allowed to be chairman for more than 2 years. Vladimir Hachinski has been chairman for 6 years, The General Assembly approved this with acclamation
